They're often confused, but they do opposite jobs. Here's the simple version — and how to know which one you actually need.

The simplest way to understand it: Botox (a neuromodulator) softens the muscle movement that creates lines — think forehead lines and crow's feet. Filler adds volume back where you've lost it — cheeks, lips, under-eye hollows, smile lines. One calms motion, the other replaces structure. Many people benefit from a little of both.
Botox is best for dynamic lines — the ones that appear when you move. Filler is best for static concerns — volume loss, folds, and contour. If you're not sure which your concern is, that's exactly what a consultation is for. The honest answer is sometimes 'neither yet,' and a good injector will tell you.
The right plan depends on your face, not a menu. At eight 01 in Sandy, we assess what's actually driving your concern before recommending anything — refinement, not reinvention. Sometimes the answer is a few units of Botox; sometimes it's filler; often it's a light touch of each.
